Abraham Lincoln Quote
“I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality.
And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race.
I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.”
(1809-1865) 16th US President
Fourth Debate with Stephen A. Douglas at Charleston, Illinois, September 18, 1858
(The Collected Works of Abraham Lincoln edited by Roy P. Basler, Volume III, pp. 145-146.)
From Lincoln’s Published Response to Horace Greeley, 1862
My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union. I shall do less whenever I shall believe what I am doing hurts the cause, and I shall do more whenever I shall believe doing more will help the cause.
From Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, 1863
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Various Lincoln Statements on the Matter of Slavery
I am not a Know-Nothing. That is certain. How could I be? How can any one who abhors the oppression of negroes, be in favor of degrading classes of white people? Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that ‘all men are created equal.’ We now practically read it ‘all men are created equal, except Negroes.’ When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read ‘all men are created equal, except Negroes and foreigners and Catholics.’ When it comes to this, I shall prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretense of loving liberty – to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure and without the base alloy of hypocrisy.

Listening to Charles Giuliani yesterday, he was delving into the Mexican- American war. Of course, he comments on those U.S. Presidents in power at the time. Charlie (who holds several degrees, including history ) and does not pull punches and will use a lot of “colorful” language. Of all the Presidents in the U.S. History, he says that perhaps 2 or maybe 3 at best were decent, and the rest were basically treacherous scumbags.
Lincoln was NOT on that list of 2 or 3
Deanna Spingola as well has stated similar thoughts re: Lincoln, and even made in interesting point that parties that have “holidays” named after them are usually, in essence, corrupt treacherous scumbags. Perhaps the point is that some image is being superimposed to hide their true nature, or things may start to unravel as facts and real history is revealed and people start to dig deeper….(Gov’t traditional biggest fear ?).
In this dialogue about Lincoln, various quotes by Lincoln have come to light (such as those noted above). People of Black ancestry ?…I wonder how many are aware of this…given Lincoln was promoted as their “great liberator”. No, the true historical evidence shows that old Honest Abe Lincoln was a socialist, whose goal was to create a Central Gov’t aka synonymous with Socialism/Communism …..and annex Southern states into the “Union” .
Of course, such agendas need a cover…some “sacred mission”…”liberation”..”bring freedom an democracy”.. etc. of some kind.
Charlies discussion of the Mexican American war supports this agenda…as in essence the US Gov’t at the time effectively acted in “bad faith” and forcefully took land in the SouthWestern US from Mexico .
As I have stated before, the original model for the United States of America was that each state had its autonomy, like a mini nation…. but under the umbrella of a Union…UNITED “States”….whereby a Federal Agency of limited powers existed, whose role was to defend any/all states from attacks, etc.
However, the Southern States had various issues with the North..(ie exploitation by the Banksters etc. etc.) and could have formed their own nation. The Civil War aka ” the War of Northern Aggression” was really an attempt to enslave the South and not allow them to pursue the destiny of their choice. Thus, if there was no Civil War, nor the Mexican American war, the United States may have ended up 1/2 its current size ie Mexico borders would have extended into the US, ……and the Southern States developed into their own nation ……..as Northern aggression seemed to be the key to prevent this possibility.
Lincolns goal = freeing the slaves?….is Bullshit. In the quotes above it is not at all his focus, the black slaves are clearly pawns. Any freeing of the slaves was simply a collateral result after destroying the South. After the North ravaging the South and destroyed the economy, many slaves were “freed” by default…ie now refugees , far worse off, having nowhere to go, no means of support etc. etc.
Ms. Spingola pointed out that the North still had slaves after the Civil War. However the propaganda has been imbedded that Lincoln attacked the South and one of his primary objectives was to free the blacks. No, if slavery never existed, he still would have attacked the South, THE agenda was to conquer land and form a nation with a Central Gov’t. This benefits the vested interests now with more land under their control. In addition, the Civil War may have turned the U.S. into an Imperialist force and imbedded in the culture , even within its own nation aka ” brother against brother” line was crossed.
These ” tactics ” are still used today all over the world as we shall see.
As a sidebar, many of us who study these issues always look at what HollyWood is up to…no coincidences re timing of certain releases . Good old propogandist Stephen Spielberg has come out with a Lincoln movie which I understand is basically embellishing the Lincoln myth.ie Obama’s victory….
Basic advice is..don’t trust Hollywood to produce anything factual…except brain-washing spin- doctoring and propoganda.
